Kumtor
In 2019, our team successfully implemented the HCBS project at the Kumtor mine, which has become one of our most exciting and challenging projects. Working in permafrost conditions at an altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level presented unique challenges: the inability to build underground tanks forced us to place them above ground. This required reinforcement of structures and additional measures, such as insulation and heating of containers, to resist the slowdown of biological processes due to low temperatures. As a result, 6 blocks of 2 containers with a length of 24 meters each were built. This is the only Topas system operating at this altitude. At the moment, all facilities are working successfully, the system is consistently coping with the tasks of cleaning, reaching all maximum permissible concentrations (MPC) of pollutants. Our project demonstrates that modern technologies make it possible to effectively solve environmental problems even in extreme conditions.
